New Applications for Dimpled Sheeting

Selective research and development in the laboratories of Ewald Dorken AG, Germany and valuable suggestions from users have substantially increased the range of applications of dimpled sheeting in recent years.

DELTA®-MS 20 in Permanent Shuttering Applications
DELTA-MS 20 provides particular cost savings when used as permanent shuttering between a concrete structural wall and a shotcrete outer shell or

diaphragm wall. It can be installed horizontally or vertically. The shotcrete shell acts as a filter, preventing migration of fine-grain particles into the drainage void. The system provides the following advantages:

► Controlled drain-off of groundwater influx during construction. If not drained off, water influx would hinder setting -particularly in the case of waterproof formulations.
► Provides full-surface drainage capability over the completed structure.
► Ensures even groundwater level and thus uniform hydrostatic loading around the structure.

Vertical Installation
DELTA-MS 20 can be installed vertically to drain off water flow onto an underground structure.

Horizontal Installation
In construction of underground buildings such as parking garages, DELTA-MS 20 is installed horizontally between the foundation slabs and the asphalt surfacing to drain off water influx caused by an elevated groundwater table.

Cavity Control Layers
When storing liquids which can pollute water, greater safety measures are necessary to protect ground and water. Chlorinated hydrocarbons cause the greatest potential danger. DELTA Barrier Sheeting is one of the few ground sealants so far approved by the German authorities for use in areas where chlorinated hydrocarbons are stored or reloaded.
