Straightforward Fastening to all Surfaces
(In Civils, Construction, & Tunneling)

In principle, the installation technique is the same of all DELTA dimpled sheeting. All fastening means are to be considered as fixing aids because the DELTA dimpled sheeting is kept in position by the surface pressure. The base surface and the specific application determine the laying method and the type of-fastening.

The following can be used:
► largehead nails of at least 40 mm length
► traditional steel nails in conjunction with the DELTA-washer
► plastic plugs such as our own DELTA-plug, or PT-LATH plug
► shot fixings such as PULSA 700P Gas nailer using the C6 Nail with steel washers.

Depending on the underlaying rock or concrete. It is advisable to use steel bolts. DELTA®-MS 20 Is layed on rock or concrete with plastic dowels (min length 50 mm). On dowels with supporting bracket, concrete reinforcement can also be Installed.

In addition there is the DELTA stop pin as part of the system. Effective fixings permit the combined installation of the dimpled sheeting with the concrete reinforcement or the waterproofing. It is advisable to cover the top edge of the dimpled sheeting with DELTA-MS profile when backfilling with earth, in order to prevent silting up due to the ingress of soil particles.

delta_technical_20pp_washer
The DELTA®-washer prevents the dimpled sheeting from tearing away.

Adhesive tape can be laid between the layers of dimpled sheeting where they overlap, in order to increase the watertightness:
DELTA-TAPE
DELTA-ROPE
DELTA-CORNER STRIP
DELTA-MASTIC
For specialist waterproofing this is standard practice. The fixings are also sealed to maintain the waterproof integrity of the system

.

delta_technical_20pp_special_bolts
For installing DELTA®-MS and concrete reinforcement together, special bolts are recommended.

Special tools are not necessary. A sharp knife is sufficient to cut the sheeting. The DELTA-MS profile can be cut to length using a handsaw or metal shears. Depending on the fixings selected, a hammer, percussion drill with masonry bit, or a shot fixer can be used, (externally only).

The DELTA® stop pin Is used on sheeting overlaps.

A rational method is to shoot bolts Into the dimpled sheeting with special tools.
