The scope of this project was to provide an effective, maintainable, and robust waterproofing solution to a below ground extension and underground garage to a residential home in Suffolk.

Delta Registered Installers, Oaks Damp Proofing Co Ltd along with Delta’s Technical Sales Consultant Paul Callaghan, were appointed as Waterproofing Specialists to undertake the waterproofing design and installation of the waterproofing solution.

Waterproofing solution to a Basement close to a lake

The scope of the project was to provide a waterproofing solution to a luxurious lake side home.  The new build property will sit within close vicinity of a 400 ft lake.

The property itself being new build, was constructed from a Type B, waterproof reinforced concrete to provide a first form of waterproofing protection, with both Type C, and Type A, waterproofing solutions being incorporated to the structure to provide two forms of protection.

Delta Registered Installers, South West based, Cannon Clarke Ltd were approached by the main contractor to assist with specifying and installation of suitable waterproofing solution for a pre-formed concrete swimming pool for a residential development.

The main contractor previously had used a render system for waterproofing swimming pools, but on this occasion couldn’t, because of thickness issues. The solution was required to be “flat and true”. The render system previously used would have surpassed the allowed thickness which would have impacted on the tiling process. Tiles are typically installed in swimming pools onto renders and screeds.

The scope of this project was to specify and install a remediation basement drainage system to a property in London where the existing basement drainage pump system had failed causing extensive flood damage to the basement studio.

Basement drainage ‘pumped systems’ should be engineered to cope with worst case scenario of water ingress.  It should always be assumed that groundwater is expected to rise against any structure at some point during its service life.
