Waterproofing solution to a Basement close to a lake

The scope of the project was to provide a waterproofing solution to a luxurious lake side home.  The new build property will sit within close vicinity of a 400 ft lake.

The property itself being new build, was constructed from a Type B, waterproof reinforced concrete to provide a first form of waterproofing protection, with both Type C, and Type A, waterproofing solutions being incorporated to the structure to provide two forms of protection.

Delta Registered Installers, South West based, Cannon Clarke Ltd were approached by the main contractor to assist with specifying and installation of suitable waterproofing solution for a pre-formed concrete swimming pool for a residential development.

The main contractor previously had used a render system for waterproofing swimming pools, but on this occasion couldn’t, because of thickness issues. The solution was required to be “flat and true”. The render system previously used would have surpassed the allowed thickness which would have impacted on the tiling process. Tiles are typically installed in swimming pools onto renders and screeds.

The scope of the project was to facilitate a combined waterproofing solution for a 2,000m² luxurious subterranean space which includes a double-level basement that will accommodate a cinema room, spa wing and swimming pool, changing, and screening rooms, servery, storage & laundry wing, plant rooms and other accommodation.

Delta Registered Installers, Knowles were appointed as principal contractor to collaborate with the architects to fulfill the role of Waterproofing Design Specialists in providing a reliable, watertight solution for this £100m project.

Waterproofing to a Grade II, Commercial Structure

The brief for this project was to design, supply and install a bespoke and sympathetic waterproofing solution to a Grade II listed, commercial structure with an impractical damp basement.

Delta Registered Installers, MacLennan Waterproofing worked closely with the Principal Contractor, HB Projects to achieve a Grade 3 habitable space whilst preserving this historic structure.

The site incorporates two Listed Buildings, including part of a Listed Church. The store applied for listed building consent to reconfigure its ground and basement floors, to increase the retail floor space and improve the functionality of the store.
